Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidenced-based therapy that helps people feel better faster. By harnessing the brain's natural ability to heal through imagery and rapid eye movements, ART offers a streamlined path towards resolution and recovery. With ART, we'll work together to gently change your brain's response to trauma, empowering you to reclaim control over your life and find peace. As a clinician trained in ART, I’m committed to guiding clients through this evidence-based method and empowering them to achieve lasting relief.

What can ART help with?:

  • PTSD/Trauma

  • Anxiety

  • Phobias

  • Depression

  • Panic Attacks

  • Victimization/Sexual abuse

  • Trauma from physical abuse

  • Performance Anxiety

  • Family Issues

  • Grief

  • Job Related Stress

Common Benefits:

  • Typically a brief treatment (1-5 sessions)

  • Clients do not have to discuss details of their trauma that they do not want to

  • Client is in total control of the session

  • Increased feelings of calm and decreased unwanted symptoms

  • “Keep the knowledge, lose the pain”

While talk-therapy can be incredibly useful, it is not always the best option to address the sensations and images that clients deal with when experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress. People with PTS, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders may understand why they react to things a certain way, but ART can help to change the automatic response a person has to their triggers. By calming the body through eye movements and imagining the negative experience, client’s are able to replace the negative images that come up with more positive ones which helps reduce their emotional reactivity and toll those images take on them.

Even with a method as fast as A.R.T., collaboration, empowerment, and understanding my clients is always a priority. You are the expert on yourself and I’m here as a guide. Starting any type of therapy can be anxiety filled but know you will be in control of the sessions and your brain knows what to do.

To participate in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, a client needs full use of their eyes, the ability to keep a thought in their mind, and motivation/willingness to feel strong emotions.
