Helping people make peace with who they are is at the heart of my practice.
I support people dealing with the impact of traumatic experiences, persistent anxiety, disturbing intrusive thoughts, and the constant pressure to be different or “fix” what’s wrong with themselves.
My approach is about understanding yourself without treating yourself like a problem that needs to be fixed. We’ll build self-compassion, understand the patterns that keep you stuck, and make changes that align with your values so OCD, anxiety, or the lingering effects of trauma don’t get to have so much control over your life.
Trauma
You may understand exactly why you feel the way you do and still find yourself reacting to something that happened months or even years ago. You’re moving forward with your life, but certain memories, triggers, relationships, or situations can make it feel like part of you is still stuck in what happened.
I work with adults healing from childhood and complex trauma (C-PTSD), sexual abuse and assault, relationship and betrayal trauma, religious trauma, emotional abuse, domestic violence, frightening or overwhelming experiences, and other experiences that continue to affect the way you feel, relate, or move through the world.
Processing what happened can help it finally feel like it’s in the past. Using approaches like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and EMDR, we’ll work beyond just talking about the experience to help you process what’s still keeping you stuck. What happened can be part of your story without continuing to feel like it’s happening now.

Anxiety
Your brain is always three steps ahead, thinking about what could go wrong, what you might be forgetting, or what you need to do next. You’ve probably gotten pretty good at anticipating problems and staying on top of things. But it’s hard to enjoy your life when part of you is always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I work with adults who feel stuck in worry, overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, avoidance, fear of making the wrong decision, and the constant need to stay one step ahead. We’ll use approaches like ACT and CBT to understand the patterns keeping you stuck and practice responding differently when anxiety shows up.
The goal isn’t to never feel anxious again. It’s to stop organizing your life around trying not to feel anxious so you can make decisions, take risks, rest, and be present without needing to know exactly how everything will turn out.

OCD
You might know the thought doesn’t make sense. But the doubt keeps coming back. So you replay, check, Google, avoid, ask for reassurance, or spend hours trying to figure out what the thought means and whether you can trust yourself.
I work with adults experiencing intrusive thoughts and OCD, including relationship OCD, health OCD, harm OCD, contamination and checking OCD, scrupulosity and religious OCD, sexual intrusive thoughts, existential OCD, and “Pure O” or mental compulsions. I use OCD-specific approaches, including Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), based on what makes sense for you.
Intrusive thoughts don’t have to dictate how you live your life. We’ll work together to help you respond differently to doubt, fear, and uncertainty so you can spend less time trying to feel completely certain and more time living your life.
